Who plays Borat in the film of the same name?

"Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" is a film from 2006. In the film we follow the Kazakhstani television reporter Borat Sagdiyev on a trip to the US, where he is supposedly doing a documentary about 'the world's best country'. Borat is played by the Jewish British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen who won a Golden Globe in 2007 for his performance. The ficticious character, Borat, comes from the tv show 'Da Ali G Show', also with Sacha Baron Cohen.
