Ewan McGregor (born 1971) is a Scottish actor. He is known for his great variety in roles, including the one as the drug addicted anti-hero Mark Renton in 'Trainspotting' (1996), the love-struck poet Christian in 'Moulin Rouge' (2001) and the young Obi-Wan Kenobi in the later Star Wars films (1999-2005). McGregor is married to Eve Mavrakis and used to be house mates with Jude Law, who is still a close friend.
