The southern-nmost point in Greenland is called Cape Farewell and is located at 59°46 north. That is approximately the same latitude as Oslo and only 225 kms further north than Skagen, the northernmost part of Denmark. Greenland streches over 24 latitudes from south to north, the equivalent of 2.670 km or the distance between Bergen in Norway to the southernmost tip of Sicily in Italy.
