Volkswagen AG is a German company headquartered in Wolfsburg, Germany. The Volkswagen factories were founded in the 1930s by Adolf Hitler. The car was developed by professor Ferdinand Porsche and was first presented in 1936. The city Wolfsburg, where Volkswagen is still headquartered, was founded to house the production in 1938. After WW2, the Beetle was born. It was produced up until the late 1970s and was the most sold car model of its time.
