The French Henri Paret was 50 years old, when he finished the Tour de Frnce in 1904. This makes him the oldest cyclist ever to finish the race. Of the 88 starting cyclists, only 15 made it through to the end. Henri Paret came 11th and was 32 hours and 18 minutes after his team-mate Henri Cornet, who won the race.
