Jude Law plays the leading role in the remake of 'Alfie', but who plays the role in the original version?

Explanation

The original 'Alfie' from 1966 stars the British actor Michael Caine. The story is about the young charlatan Alfie, who conquers women, wherever he goes. He later learns the consequences of this lifestyle. Jude Law plays Michael Caine's role in the 2004 remake. This is the second time Jude Law interprets an original Michael Caine role: the first time was in 'Sleuth' (2007, original version 1972).
