Who directed the film 'Good Will Hunting', for which Matt Damon and Ben Affleck won an Oscar for best original screenplay?

Explanation

Gus Van Sant is a cult director who had his big breakthrough in 1991 with the film 'My Own Private Idaho', featuring Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix in the main roles. Since then, he has worked on a variety of projects, some more, some less commercial. His more commercial projects include his remake of the Hitchcock classic 'Psycho' and 'Good Will Hunting'. In the less commercial end, he has enjoyed a lot of success with the death-trilogy, made up of 'Gerry', 'Last Days' and 'Elephant'.
