Who directed the 2001 film 'The Royal Tenenbaums'?

Explanation

Wes Anderson is a real auteur as he is involved in every aspect of his films' production. All his films employ a similar aesthetic. He had his breakthrough with the film 'Rushmore' from 1998, but only gained international fame with the 2001 film 'The Royal Tenenbaums'. Since then, he has directed Bill Murray in 'The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou' and has created a new classic with 'The Darjeeling Limited'. Here, Owen Wilson plays a beat-up man who forces his brothers to meet their mother after a long separation.
