A transsexual is a boy/man or girl/woman who identifies with a gender inconsistent with their biological sex. Transsexuals feel as if they have been put in the wrong body. Transsexualism is not synonymous with neither transvetism nor homosexuality. Transsexuals want to change their bodies so they correspond to their psychological gender. Biological females who want to be, or perceive themselves, as men are called transsexual men, whereas men who perceive themselves or want to be female are called transsexual women.
