What do some people think they can cure by having sex with a virgin?

Explanation

AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) is an infection first described in 1981. AIDS is caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), which transmits through sexual contact, through blood and blood products, and from mother to child during pregnancy and child birth. Unfortunately, a wide range of AIDS and HIV misunderstandings exist, amongst which that AIDS can spread via touching, that sex with a virgin can cure the disease, and that only homosexual men and drug addicts are affected.
