The Canadian actor Donald Sutherland was born in Saint John, Brunswick, in 1935. He started as a radio host at the age of 14. Sutherland began his film and tv career in the 1960s, but his breakthrough came with the film "M*A*S*H" from 1970, in which he played the role of Hawkeye Pierce.
