Which reptile is largest?

Explanation

The saltwater crocodile is the largest of all living reptiles. It can grow to be more than 7 metres long and weigh around 1 tonne. Crocodiles are predators and use their long cheeks and sharp teeth to eat meat. Typically, crocodilles have scales and lay eggs with a leathery exterior. Crocodiles are poikilotherm - i.e. their internal temperatures vary considerably.
